When I started on the Williams-Sonoma Inc (WSI) account; there were only two people on the team, no CD. The mission: we had 6 months to launch a conversion for our new partner, WSI, all in a remote environment. On top of the sheer size of the scope of this conversion, we were also asked to pilot the use of Figma to build files in, which was an adventure in and of itself. We got our team finished and dove in.
Our overall goal was to launch the Key Rewards Visa card, converting WSI cardholders from their old bank to the new Capital One Visa product. Our unique challenge was to communicate that The Key Rewards Visa featured seven brands in one. Cardmembers could earn rewards when they shop at any of the seven stores, but also earn out-of-store in select categories. Being there from the start, I helped establish the style in early pieces that served as our guide for the remainder of creative. I executed in a breadth of diverse channels, including microsites, in-store, collateral, emails, and signage.
I collaborated directly with not only my creative director, but WSI’s creative director to develop pieces that fit their brand tone and personality, and worked closely with internal teams at Capital One along every stage of production. Every piece was designed was to take the consumer through the conversion process, informing them what changes were on the way, what to expect, details about the program, then how to activate their card and enroll in Capital One’s online experience.
After 6 months, we successfully brought the Key Rewards program and all 8 cards to life, and converted over 1.2 million customers.
